Radiative Cooling Project | 2019 - 2020

Average Cooling Potential vs. States (1)
  • Innovated and tested a radiative cooling film; Achieved a temperature gradient of approximately 5°C between ambient temperature and bottom surface temperature

  • Performed MATLAB simulations regarding net cooling potential in Urbana region over a period of 24 hours; validated radiative film’s cooling potential

  • Calculated average cooling potentials for 50 states in United States and constructed a cooling map chart to simulate large scale impact of cooling film on cooling potentials
